Accommodation
Accommodation is available at the Holiday Inn Hotel. All bedrooms have recently been refurbished and have air-conditioning and wireless internet access as standard facilities. The following preferential rates have been negotiated with the hotel:
| Double room on bed & breakfast basis (single occupancy) | £90 per room per night |
| Double room on bed & breakfast basis (double occupancy) | £130 per room per night |
| Twin room on bed & breakfast basis (double occupancy) | £130 per room per night |
Accommodation at the Holiday Inn should be reserved via the Institute of Physics when registering. Please see Registration.
Residential Participants
Check-in at the Holiday Inn will be handled by hotel reception staff. Rooms are guaranteed to be ready by 15:00 on the day of arrival; for guests who arrive earlier than this access will be given as soon as the room is available. Check-out time is 11:00.
The hotel's amenities include a heated indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and fully equipped gymnasium overlooking the hotel grounds and river. Beautician/massage available with appointments.
In compliance with English law smoking is only permitted in designated bedrooms in the hotel.
